Commercial & Industrial Tenancy Legislation:

Commercial and Industrial tenancy legislation can be complex and varies greatly from residential tenancy laws. The major differences are:

  • GST: If the Lessor is registered for GST, the GST on rental and outgoings is generally paid by the Tenant.
  • OUTGOINGS: Outgoings on commercial and industrial properties, which may include council rates, water rates, insurance on the building and owner’s liability and body corporate fees are generally paid by the tenant.
